Crunchyroll is a platform that allows you to enjoy countless anime episodes with great image quality. It is a platform used by many users, who spend hours and hours watching content (often at night).
Continuous viewing of content for several hours can make our eyes resentful, which is why many fans in the community have requested the platform to add adark theme or night mode for Crunchyroll.
How to enable night mode on Crunchyroll
Unfortunately, despite having numerous requests from the Crunchyroll user community, the developers have not yet included this mode on their platform. It is very likely that in the future they will end up adding it, since it is a really useful option with this particular application, but in the meantime we tell you a trick to turn on night mode in Crunchyroll easily.
The trick is based on downloading a browser extension that allows you to turn on night mode in any application, and therefore also Crunchyroll. It is Night Eye, and in order to use it you have to follow these simple steps:
- Go to the extensions section of your browser and search for Night Eye.
- Click on “Add extension”
- Wait briefly until it is activated.
- Once activated, we access Crunchyroll in our browser and click on the extension icon.
- The night mode will be activated thanks to Night Eye.
This extension is a great option to take care of our eyesight whenwatching anime on Crunchyroll, and it is also quite an interesting option for any application that does not yet have night mode officially. The only drawback is that it is a paid extension after passing the three-month free trial it offers. We can decide to use it until the developers of the platform decide to activate the night mode.
